 Vanessa worked as a general tax practitioner before joining Morley and Scott in 1994, becoming a partner in 1999. In 2004, Vanessa co-founded Olivine with Stuart and specialises in corporate and indirect taxes for entrepreneurial growth companies.
She has particular experience in a number of areas including corporate mergers and acquisitions, demergers, exit planning and corporate restructuring, remuneration planning including share option schemes and exit strategies, as well as VAT partial exemption schemes, planning for VAT on property transactions and general VAT planning and advice.
She also works with other corporate finance and private equity houses on structuring a variety of transactions, as well as acting as the VAT and corporate tax advisor to a number of mid-tier accountancy practices.
Outside of the office Vanessa enjoys walking the dog, knitting, running, and generally keeping things tidy
Stuart Cumberland BSc, ACA

 Stuart graduated from London University in 1990 with a BSc (Hons) in Geography and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994. Following 7 years in the Corporate Finance team at Mazars and Entrepreneurial Services team at Ernst & Young, Stuart founded the Corporate Finance team at Morley and Scott. In 2004, he co-founded Olivine with Vanessa and focuses on delivering financial and strategic solutions to a range of high growth companies.
Stuart has extensive corporate finance experience having completed over 150 transactions.
Stuart is currently on the board of Debts.co.uk plc - an AIM quoted company, and has been a director of and involved with a number of other AIM quoted companies.
Outside of the office Stuart enjoys rowing, art, cinema and painting anything he sees.
